Types of Roller Banners

When you choose roller banner printing for your marketing campaign, you can expect to get only what you paid for. This means that cheaper banner stands are usually less durable than the expensive ones. They can give a sense of false economy without helping you achieve the marketing goals that you want. Here are the most common types of roller banners that you can find in printing companies:

  • Retractable roller banner. The banner is held in place by a roller that pulls it taut to make the design visible without any wrinkles. When the roller is released, the banner rolls back to the cassette, making dismantling easy. The biggest benefit of this banner is that the graphic is encased safely in the cassette during transit. However, you cannot put two retractable roller banners close enough to each other.
  • Rigid banner stands. This is available as an H or X banner, depending on the shape of its supporting framework. The framework is taken off the graphic during storage and transit, but it is attached to the banner during setup at its top and bottom using a hook and eyelet fastener. This is the cheapest type of indoor banner, but it does not have a weighted cassette that could have lent it stability.
  • Tension banner stand. This banner is usually lightweight and uses a fiberglass or telescoping pole for the tension, making the banner taught enough for the graphic to be clearly visible to people. If you put several tension banners together, they can give the illusion of a backwall.
  • Cassette banner stand. This has a cassette base that can be preloaded with a graphic, making it convenient to change the cassette with another graphic without using any tools. This is lightweight but sturdy with a protective cover fro the graphic.
